Seven more dengue cases in Lucknow

LUCKNOW: Spurt in dengue cases continued in the city on Friday with seven more being diagnosed with the vector-borne disease, taking the count to 214 from August and 279 since January.

The seven patients included two women who visited Silver Jubilee Community Healthcare Centre (CHC) following fatigue and joint pain along with high fever. The other patients had come to Aishbagh, NK Road, Chinhat, Aliganj and Tudiyaganj CHCs with dengue symptoms.

According to health department, tests of all patients came positive in the ELISA test. Condition of all the patients is stable. They have been prescribed medicine and are recovering at home.

Meanwhile, larvae of Aedes aegypti mosquito which carries dengue virus was found in 44 houses in Mahanagar, Ruchikhand, Rajivnagar and Chinhat localities after scanning 1,777 residence in these areas. Owners of the houses were given notices to clean water accumulation and sanitize premises within 24 hours.
