Seven Liverpool restaurants serve best food in Britain according to The AA's Restaurant Guide 2020

Food from seven Liverpool city centre restaurants has been classed as best in Britain.

The AA has unveiled The Restaurant Guide 2020, a guide to the best food in Britain, including 2,000 restaurants currently awarded Rosettes for culinary excellence by the AA’s professional inspectors.

Among the list are seven restaurants in Liverpool, five in Wirral and three in Southport.

The London Carriage Works, Fraiche, 60 Hope Street, Burnt Truffle and Panoramic 34 are all featured.

Simon Numphud, managing director at AA Media, said: “We are pleased to see the hospitality industry going from strength to strength, with over 140 new dining destinations being added to The Restaurant Guide 2020.
