Seven hurt in two-car crash

Two people are in hospital with serious injuries after a horror crash in west Wales. The collision happened on the A477 near Neyland in Pembrokeshire.

The crash, which happened at around 3pm on Saturday afternoon, involved a white Ford Focus and a red Nissan Qashqai. One person was airlifted to hospital in a Wales Air Ambulance helicopter, while six others were taken to hospital in road ambulances. Two of those injured are still in hospital with what police have described as serious injuries. As a result of the crash, the road between Neyland and Sentry Cross Roundabout in Pembrokeshire was closed for almost five hours.

Dyfed-Powys Police is now appealing for information as it investigates the cause of the crash. A spokeswoman for the force said: “Anyone who witnessed the collision or anyone with information that could help officers with their investigation is asked to report it either online, by emailing 101@dyfed-powys.police.uk, or by calling 101, quoting reference: DpP-20220813-297.”
