'Seven Garda cars' swarm Sandycove Harbour as man 'allegedly recording' near kids changing

Up to seven garda cars and 16 gardai swarmed a Dublin area on Sunday evening after reports of a man "allegedly recording" near where young kids were changing.

Many local sunseekers flocked to Sandycove Harbour over the weekend but the summer sunshine was overshadowed by a cloud of worry following the eerie alleged incident.

A source told Dublin Live that Gardai on routine beat patrol came across the incident after the alarm was raised to one of the officers.

The source said: "There was a complaint made to Gardai about a man recording in the area.

"The complaint was made by a woman to Gardai on patrol.

"Gardai engaged with the man and the person who made the complaint and enquiries are ongoing."

One local said: "There were about seven Garda cars and around 16 gardai in the area at the time.

"There was a large number of people around because of the good weather and everyone was talking about it.

"The reports were worrying because there were young kids playing and getting changed at the Harbour.

Dublin Live has contacted Gardai for comment.
