Seven fun-loving ferrets are seeking their forever homes in Ayrshire.
The furry friends are currently in the care of the Scottish SPCA Ayrshire and Southwest Scotland Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre, and the charity is urgently looking for homes for the playful creatures.
Some of the ferrets came into the charity’s care as strays and have struggled to find new owners.
Ayrshire centre manager Marion Hainey said: “All of our ferret friends will need spacious enclosures with lots of cosy spots and enrichment to keep them occupied and, of course, lots of human contact.
“All of our ferrets could potentially go to homes with existing ferrets as long as owners are able to carry out the proper introductions and provide them with a separate enclosure while they get used to their new surroundings.
“We’d love to find the perfect homes for all of our fabulous furries as they’ll make fantastic companions for any enthusiast.
“Anyone interested can apply online or find out more about them on our website.”
Here’s everything you need to know about Ayrshire’s seven ferrets:
Conor
- Conor was found as a stray and sadly nobody came to claim him. He has been in the charity’s care for 96 days, which is the longest out of the ferrets
- He’s a laidback lad who loves to snuggle up in his bed but will leap in to action as soon as he hears you enter his hutch!
- He hasn’t been well handled and does tend to nip so will require an experienced owner

William
- William is a male albino ferret who was also found as a stray
- He isn’t so confident so will need an owner who will handle him and build his confidence with humans
- William loves to be nosey and check out what is going on around him

Jilly
- Jilly is a female albino who arrived at the centre after being on the street all by herself
- She is a very active lady and is happiest when playing with her toys
- Jilly is still young and, although is not bad with getting handled, her new owner will need to continue with this to ensure she becomes a well mannered part of the family

Jasper
- Jasper is a brown, tan and white ferret who was found as a stray but seems to be well handled
- He adores exploring and likes to squeak to show you how he is feeling
- He will need someone who will carry on handling him to continue socialising him

Harry, Hermione and Ginny
- This adorable trio are looking for a home together
- They are full of energy and will need plenty of exercise
- Harry, Hermione and Ginny will need a spacious enclosure plus human interaction to encourage socialisation
