A thief who stole a Poppy Appeal charity box from a shop in Tameside has been jailed.
Dean Vincent Walker was arrested on Tuesday after police chased him on foot around Ashton-under-Lyne.
When they stopped him, he had more than half a dozen No.7 make-up sets, an electric toothbrush, razors and more makeup.
Officers said he wasn't able to provide a receipt.
The 32-year-old, of no fixed abode, was later charged with four shoplifting offences, as well as a breach of court order.
The thefts also included a charity box - which was stolen from Family Shopper on Broadoak Road on October 24 - as well as meat, cigarettes, and the makeup.

Walker appeared before Tameside Magistrates' Court on Wednesday and pleaded guilty to the offences. He was sentenced to 18 weeks behind bars.
Sharing a mug shot of Walker, Dukinfield PC Martin Jones wrote: "In relation to our post yesterday about the arrest and charge of Dean Vincent Walker (03/05/1987) of no fixed abode.
