The HSE have released new data on the incidence rates for Covid-19 across Ireland - and one county in particular is still struggling.
For the first time since the HSE cyberattack took down systems in May, we now have a clear view of how different counties are dealing with the virus.
The overall incidence rate for the country sits at 112.8 cases per 100,000 people.
But Limerick, which has seen a number of outbreaks in recent weeks, has a rate of over four times that.
The rate in the Treaty County is 456.6 per 100,000 in the data available to the HSE up to Wednesday.
Donegal, which health officials had previously been concerned about, is second in the table at 172.7 cases per 100,000.
Westmeath (141.9), Carlow (135.2) and Dublin (129.9) make up the top five, while Waterford (120.5) and Cavan (114.2) are also above the national average.
On the opposite end of the scale, Sligo, Monaghan, Leitrim, Kilkenny and Kerry are dealing the best with the virus, with the Yeats county in particular leading the way with a rate of just 7.6 cases per 100,000 people in the last two weeks up to Wednesday.
In total, 5,370 cases were reported in the two weeks up to Wednesday.
Of those:
- 3,731 were close contacts of a previous case
- 1,065 were community transmission
- 176 were travel-related
- 10 were patients infected in a healthcare setting
- 8 were staff infected in a healthcare setting
- While there were 380 that the HSE were not sure of the source.
Eight hospitals are now free of Covid-19 inpatients
St James's, Naas, Tullamore, Sligo, Galway, Kilkenny, Mercy, Waterford are all clear .
Furthermore, three Children's hospitals (Temple St, Crumlin & Tallaght) are also clear of Covid patients.
HSE CEO Paul Reid tweeted that this was a "great relief for patients, public & staff."
Last night, 59 patients were in hospital as a result of the virus, with 23 of those in ICU.
It's the lowest number of overall patients since September 12 of last year.
