Six men and a woman were arrested during a string of police raids in Trafford.
The seven were arrested as part of an investigation into armed robberies carried out in Greater Manchester and Cheshire this year.
Two stolen vehicles were recovered as well as weapons, including a machete and a meat cleaver.
Mobile phones, clothing and a large quantity of cash were also seized by police officers.
Six men aged between 21 and 45 and a woman, 36, were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery.

They all remain in police custody for questioning.
Detective Inspector Joseph Harrop, of GMP’s Serious Crime Division, said: "Today we have arrested seven people, which is a great result for GMP’s Serious Crime Division, and officers from the Trafford District who have been working relentlessly in order to disrupt this organised crime group and bring those involved to justice.
"I would like to provide reassurance to the public that we are committed to targeting this type of criminality.
"We will not tolerate such offending in our communities, and will do all that is within our power to bring criminals to justice and make Greater Manchester a safer place.
"Often answers about this type of criminality lie within the community and as such we are continuing to appeal for information.
