Seth Rogen pranks Jimmy Kimmel during video call

Seth Rogen played a prank on Jimmy Kimmel during a video call amid the coronavirus pandemic.

During Thursday night’s Jimmy Kimmel Live!, filmed at their respective houses because of California’s stay-at-home policy, Kimmel asked Rogen how he is coping during the lockdown.

“I’ve been okay, you know, just cooped up at home, like everyone else. How are you holding up?” the star of Knocked Up replied.

Kimmel started telling him how he has fared since the stay-at-home order in California began, but Rogen interrupted him.

“You know, macaroni and cheese, lots of ramen, things like that,” he said.

A confused Kimmel asked him what he was talking about and Rogen replied: “I do have enough toilet paper.”

Kimmel then asked him if he could hear what he was saying, and Rogen revealed that he had been talking to a screen, playing a pre-recorded interview.

Rogen said he had started recording messages so he didn’t have to listen during video calls: “I’ve been doing a lot of like Zoom calls and stuff lately, and I realised I don’t actually have to be there for a lot of them.”

He added: “It’s amazing what you can do with pre-recording these days, I’ve been very productive.”

The host then asked him if his plan has worked so far to which Rogen replied: “I gave a speech at a bar mitzvah last week, and I sold a pitch to Paramount.”
