Seth Rogen announces new film An American Pickle will arrive on HBO Max this summer

Seth Rogen has announced that his new film An American Pickle will arrive on HBO Max this summer.

The film, which is based on Simon Rich’s 2013 short story Sell Out, features Rogen in its starring role, with the 38-year-old also serving as a producer on the project.

Rich is also credited as a producer on the film, for which HBO Max acquired distribution rights from Sony Pictures.

“Couldn’t be more thrilled that my next film ‘An American Pickle’ will be on HBO Max this summer,” Rogen wrote on Twitter.

“I can’t wait for you all to see it, but here’s a taste! Get it?!?!”

The cast for An American Pickle, directed by Brandon Trost, also includes Succession‘s Sarah Snook and Jorma Taccone.

Trost is primarily known as a cinematographer and previously worked with Rogen on 2013’s This Is The End and 2014’s The Interview. He also worked on The Disaster Artist in 2017.

HBO Max is a subscription streaming platform set for release in America on 27 May and internationally in 2021. It is connected to American television network HBO.
