A National Lottery spokesman said: "Better dig out your wish list - because you could be one ticket away from winning £10,000 every month for 30 years!

"Imagine what you could do with that. Cooking course? New business idea? Whatever’s on your list, now’s your chance to start ticking them off."

The draw takes place at 8pm every Monday and Thursday.

Players pick five main numbers between 1 and 47, and one ‘life ball’ between 1 and 10.

The odds of winning the top prize is one in 15.3million, but the odds of winning £10,000 per month for a year is one in 1.7million.

There are also fixed prizes up for grabs.

If you scoop second prize you get the same monthly payouts but for one year only - so either way, some considerable cash could end up in your bank account.

Camelot’s Andy Carter, Senior Winners’ Adviser at The National Lottery, said: “Since the beginning of April, Set For Life has seen a fabulous five ticket-holders win the top prize of £10k every month for 30 years. On top of this, a whopping 37 ticket-holders have won the second prize of £10k every month for an entire year.

“For the last 25 years, National Lottery players have made a huge difference to Good Causes with, on average, around £30million raised every week. Thanks to National Lottery players, up to £600M will be used by charities and organisations affected by the impact of the coronavirus outbreak, including £300M to support the most vulnerable in communities across the UK.”
