Set for Life lottery game under fire after £3m jackpot remains unclaimed

A lottery game has come under fire after it was revealed a £10k-a-month jackpot remains unclaimed.

New Lotto game Set For Life, introduced in March, offers punters a chance to win £3million tax-free over 30 years.

However, the jackpot remains elusive even after fourteen draws, reports The Sun .

During the game, which is organised by Camelot, players must match five numbers plus the Life Ball.

Five numbers gets the second prize and four numbers plus the Life Ball will get a prize of £250.

However, some punters have expressed frustration with the new game on Twitter.

Dee Bishop wrote: "STILL no jackpot winner in the so called 'Set for Life' game. Quite the little earner Camelot have set up for themselves with this one!

"Taking advantage of players every week now."

National Lottery responded to the criticism, saying that 95 per cent of all sales go towards good causes.

A Camelot spokesperson added: “The National Lottery is all about creating winners and we’ve already had 14 winners scoop the second prize on Set For Life of £10,000 a month for a year.

"We’re therefore confident that we’ll see a top prize winner on the new game before too long.

"At the end of the day, it’s a lottery game and so winners of the top prize can’t be guaranteed – the outcome is dependent on a number of factors, including the number of entries, the balls drawn and the numbers people select.”
