Thai stocks opened down 1.15% at the start of trade this morning.
The Stock Exchange of Thailand's main index opened at 1,653.14 points, down 19.18 points from Tuesday's close. The trade value was 3.27 billion baht with 574 million shares traded.
The SET50 index opened at 1,103.44 points, down 15.15 points or 1.35%, with a total trade value of 2.54 billion baht.
The MAI index went down 2.10 points or 0.53% to stand at 396.93 points with total transaction value of 26 million baht.
Analysts attributed the plunge to uncertainty related to the China-US trade war.
