Total trading value was 62.9 billion baht, with 12.4 billion shares changed hands.
SET50 index gained 0.76%, or 7.86 points, to 1,041.78 in trade worth 33.6 billion baht.
MAI jumped 1.23%, or 6.82 points, to 560.79 in transactions worth 3.8 billion baht.
Institutional investors bought 2.2 billion baht worth of shares, followed by foreigners (1.1 billion baht). Small investors sold 3.2 billion baht, followed by brokers (93.6 million baht).
Year-to-date, institutional investors were net buyers of 60.2 billion baht, followed by brokers (5 billion baht) and foreigners (4.7 billion baht). Retail investors were sole net sellers of 70 billion baht.
