Session: Skate Sim Major FLOW Update and El Ray DLC Available Today

Crea-ture Studios has released the new El Lay DLC today on all platforms, alongside a major update for Session: Skate Sim, introducing the FLOW Update, which refines the game’s core skating mechanics and overall feel.

The update brings a fully mirrored Goofy Stance, letting players skate naturally no matter their preference. All tricks and animations now work the same in both stances and the awkward spinning that used to happen when getting on or off the board in goofy stance has been fixed.

The full Flow and Friction Pass fine-tunes how skating feels with updates to powerslides, reverts, manuals, wheel grip and the pump multiplier. Powerslides now stay aligned with player direction and feel more responsive, allowing better control over speed and depth. Players can also transition smoothly between frontside and backside slides or use reverts to manage speed mid-line with cleaner animations tying it all together.

Reverts have been improved to stop over-rotating, keeping skaters aligned and maintaining momentum. Sensitivity settings were adjusted, bail-related bugs were fixed and animations now look smoother overall. Manuals work more seamlessly too. Players can land in manuals after dropping from ledges or grinds, perform 180-degree turns or transition in and out of reverts without all four wheels needing to touch down. Manuals are now tracked in the on-screen trick display as well.

The update even changes how board breaks work. When a deck snaps, players can instantly swap in a replacement from their inventory instead of defaulting to a plain orange board. The system automatically picks from existing setups, matching the last loadout when possible.

With the FLOW Update, Session: Skate Sim feels more fluid and consistent, giving players a smoother, more authentic skating experience from line to line.

The El Lay DLC brings some of California’s most iconic skateparks to Session: Skate Sim for $7.99 on all platforms, giving players endless lines to hit in one of skating’s most legendary spots. It includes a new El Lay map, two exclusive outfits and six new obstacles for the object dropper.
