The State Emergency Service is evacuating a group of people from a campground in the Barrington Tops after access was cut due to flooding.
The Port Stephens SES team was helping to get the group from the Ladies Well area at about lunchtime on Tuesday, the rescue agency confirmed.
An SES spokesperson told the Newcastle Herald that none of the campers had been injured, but the decision to evacuate them came after a causeway flooded - blocking the way in and out of the campground near the Allyn River and Forest Road.
