A serving police officer has been hauled before a court after stealing uniform from his own colleagues.
PC Edward Ballantyne-Rowland, 25, who works in GMP's Oldham district, stole boots, jackets, and even epaulettes belonging to his fellow officers.
Appearing at Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court today, the officer was sentenced for three counts of theft having pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing.

All three offences took place between November 25, 2020 and December 3, 2020.
The first charge relates to the theft of a pair of Viper Tactical Venom Boots worth £79.95 and belonging to a PC Gilham.
PC Ballantyne-Rowland also admitted stealing a jacket and epaulettes of an unknown value, belonging to a PC Temple.
He also swiped a pair of Altberg Boots belonging to a PC Cleasby.
The officer was arrested on December 4, 2020 and suspended from duty on the same date.
Ballantyne-Rowland, of Chelford Road, Knutsford, Cheshire, was ordered to complete 180 hours of community service by magistrates.
He was also made subject of a 20-hour rehabilitation order, and told to pay each victim £150, along with court fees and a victim surcharge.
Greater Manchester Police have confirmed the officer remains suspended from the force.
