The figure increased by 13 from the previous day and has exceeded 1,000 for nine consecutive days.

The seven-day moving average of new infections in the capital was 798.4, down 4.2% from 833.1 in the previous period, according to the Tokyo metropolitan government. The average was apparently affected by the long Golden Week holiday.
The number of seriously ill COVID-19 patients in Tokyo increased by two to 73.
