A "serious" two-vehicle head-on crash has brought traffic to a standstill on the Monaro Highway.
Emergency services arrived at the Johnson Drive exit just before 6pm.
An Emergency Services Agency spokesman said everyone involved was able to get themselves out of their cars and no one has been taken to hospital.
Southbound traffic on the Monaro Highway near Richardson has been blocked as police remain to clear the scene.
An ACT Policing spokeswoman said northbound traffic was moving slowly.
Drivers are advised to avoid the area and take an alternative route.
