Two people rushed to hospital after serious two-car crash in Fife

Two people have been rushed to hospital after a serious two-car crash in Fife.

Officers have blocked off Main Street, Torryburn in Dunfermline after the collision just after 9am on Thursday morning.

Emergency services were called to the scene after reports of the smash.

It is understood officers remain there.

Two people were rushed to separate hospitals.

Their conditions are unknown.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Officers are still at the scene, the road remains closed."

A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We dispatched our special operations team and two ambulances to the scene.

"We transported one patient to Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy and one patient to New Edinburgh Royal.”
