'Serious' lorry crash shuts down busy Scots road with emergency crews on scene

A 'serious' lorry crash has shut down a busy Scots road with emergency crews on the scene.

The smash happened at around 12.20pm this afternoon on the A835 approximately five miles from Braemar, at Loch Droma.

Emergency services raced to the area and shut down the road in both directions.

They have now launched an investigation into the crash.

It is unknown at this time if anyone was injured.

A police spokespersons said: "At around 12.20pm, on Wednesday 3 February 2021, police received a report of a road crash involving a lorry on the A835 approximately 5 miles from Braemar.

"Emergency services are in attendance."

Traffic Scotland said: "The A835 is closed in both directions at Loch Droma north of Garve due to a serious road traffic crash.

"Emergency services are on scene."
