A serious incident on a busy beach has sparked overcrowding warnings
The Lizard National Trust has issued a warning to families visiting the popular Kynance Cove in Cornwall.
The serious incident involved a man who was having a medical episode on the beach, reports Cornwall Live .
According to Mullion Coastguard Rescue Team, a crew monitored and reassured the casualty until the arrival of the paramedics.
The trust recently said: "Kynance is looking to be extremely busy today (August 25).
"Please be aware that high tide is at 12.19pm, making little of the beach exposed and it can get rather crowded.
"After the recent storms the top beach sand has been washed away, so its a bit rocky underfoot."
Cornish campaign group Kernow Matters To Us (KMTU) also shared a warning.
On Facebook they said: "Following a serious incident on Kynance Beach on August 23 which involved rescue teams from Mullion Coastguard Rescue Team, backed up by Porthoustock coastguards and paramedics, a warning has been issued regarding overcrowding at Kynance.
"Particular attention is drawn to the tides which many holiday makers fail to take heed of.
"We at KMTU pay tribute to all our emergency services which are placed under enormous pressure at this time of year - police, fire, ambulance, air ambulance, coastguard rescue and lifeboats.
"We again call for a tourist tax to help pay for these services as it is unfair that local taxpayers are expected to fund the seasonal demands."
