A residential area near Hyde Road in Gorton has been sealed off by police this morning, Monday August 9.
In the early hours of this morning, a crime scene investigation appeared to be taking place near the junction of Woodland Road and Friendship Avenue.
Images from the scene showed CSI officers in attendance and a forensic examination appeared to be taking place.
Police cordon tape had been put up around the area, with officers and vehicles blocking off access.
At the time of writing, Greater Manchester Police were not releasing any details about the nature of the incident, or the investigation that is taking place.
