Serious crash on Edinburgh's Queensferry Road sees police cordon off area

Police have shut down an Edinburgh road in both directions after a ‘serious’ crash.

The Edinburgh Police Division tweeted that Queensferry Road in the capital has been closed in both direction after the incident at around 9.30pm on Tuesday night.

Officers currently remain at the scene of the road closure between Tesco supermarket to Drumbrae.

Drivers have been urged to avoid the area while officials attend to the crash.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Diversions in place and we thank you for your patience.”

It is unclear if anyone has been injured in the crash.
