A serious crash on a busy road in Merseyside saw two people taken to hospital this afternoon.
The crash happened around 12.50pm on Monday, October 4 and involved a Mercedes car and Kawasaki motorbike on Lord Street, Southport.
Merseyside Police and North West Ambulance Service both attended with two people rushed to hospital.

The condition of the two individuals taken to hospital is currently unknown.
A Merseyside Police spokesperson told the ECHO : "We can confirm that emergency services are in Southport following a serious RTC this afternoon, Monday 4 October.
"At around 12.50pm, we were called to Lord Street to reports of a collision involving a Mercedes car and Kawasaki motorbike. The rider of the motorbike has been taken to hospital for assessment of his injuries.
"The driver of the car stopped at the scene and both vehicles are to be recovered.

A NWAS spokesperson told the ECHO: "We responded to an RTC involving a car and a motorbike following a 999 call at 12.47
"Two patients have been taken to hospital. One of them is male."
