Serious crash in Livingston sees police shut down street

Police have shut down a road in Livingston after a ‘serious’ crash.

Emergency services raced to Cousland Road after reports of the incident on Wednesday afternoon.

Officers have closed the road between the Mill Roundabout and the Hospital Interchange as they remain at the scene.

West Lothian Council confirmed that the area would be closed to drivers overnight while emergency services attend to the incident.

Police Scotland have urged drivers to avoid the area if possible.

It is unclear if anyone has been injured in the crash.

Scottish Ambulance Service have been approached for comment.
