'Serious concerns': police appeal for help to find Phillip

SOUGHT: Phillip Carter

POLICE are hoping to find a man believed to be missing in the Hunter, launching an appeal for public help.

Family members raised the alarm after Phillip Carter, 47, was last seen at 10.30am on Sunday.

Mr Carter has not made contact with friends or family since, which police believe is out of character.

He is known to frequent the Gosford and Brandy Hill areas. Police said he may also have been seen in Newcastle.

Mr Carter is described as of caucasian appaearance, standing between 170-175cm tall with a medium to large build, medium complexion, short grey hair and brown eyes.

Anyone who sees Mr Carter is urged to call Raymond Terace police station on 4983 7599 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
