Police have serious concerns for the welfare of a missing teenage girl.

They said Taylor Ingram, 17, had not been seen by her family for a number of weeks and she was believed to be in the Hawker area. They are asking for the public's help to find her.

"She is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 140-45cm (4'6"-4'7") tall, with medium to long dark brown hair, brown eyes and of a slim build. Taylor also has a tattoo on one of her middle fingers," they said.

"Police and Taylor's family hold serious concerns for her welfare and are requesting the public's assistance in locating her."

Anyone who may have any information that could help police find Taylor is urged to contact ACT Policing Operations on 131 444 and quote reference 7078807.
