A man and woman have been arrested and charged in connection with a serious assault in Dumbarton.
At around 12.50pm on Saturday a 43-year-old man was attacked in the town's Quarry Knowe.
The victim's condition is unknown.
Police confirmed that a man and woman have been arrested and charged following the incident.
The man is aged 33 and the woman is 30 years old.
The pair have been held in custody to appear in court.
A report has been sent to the procurator fiscal.
A spokesperson from Argyll and West Dunbartonshire Police Divsion said: "Police can confirm that a man, aged 33, and a woman, aged 30, have been arrested and charged in connection with the serious assault of a 43 year-old man in Quarry Knowe, Dumbarton at about 12.50pm on Saturday, June 13.
"The man and woman have been held in custody to appear at court.
"A report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
