A serious accident on the A77 is leading to major traffic problems this morning.
The incident occurred just after Kilmarnock on the northbound lane heading towards Glasgow.
The northbound lane is currently closed following a collision close to the Grassyards Interchange.
Traffic is being diverted via the exit and entry slip roads.
Vehicle traffic is reported to be very slow on approach with emergency services on the scene.
