Erik Matti, known for his diverse career spanning advertising and acclaimed films, presented 'The Squatter.' This east-meets-west crime series, produced by Ronald Monteverde, follows a Filipino maid and a Ukrainian detective as they unravel a complex mystery that spans continents. The project also secured a prize of €50,000, recognizing its innovative storytelling.

Barbara Albert, with a distinguished background in filmmaking and academia, introduced 'Sleeping Swans.' The supernatural drama series, written by Ulrike Tony Vahl and produced by Martina Haubrich, explores a community in turmoil as its children succumb to a mysterious illness. The project was awarded €20,000 ($21,693) for its unique concept and execution.

The success of these projects highlights the growing trend of feature filmmakers transitioning to television, supported by initiatives like Seriesmakers. Backed by Beta Group and Series Mania, the program offers mentorship and funding to creators looking to explore new storytelling avenues.
