Series of home burglaries reported in Bucktown

Police say three homes were burglarized in December 2019 in Bucktown. | File photo

Police are warning Bucktown residents of a series of burglaries to homes throughout December.

In each, someone entered through an unlocked door or window and stole property, Chicago police said.

The burglaries happened:

between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. Dec. 9 in the 2100 block of North Leavitt Street;
between 6:50 a.m. and 4:40 p.m. Dec. 11 in the 2000 block of West Homer Street; and
between Dec. 24 and Dec. 28 in the 2000 bock of West McLean Avenue.

Police did not provide a suspect description.

Anyone with information is asked to call Area North detectives at 312-744-8263.
