Swedish league leaders Sirius have rejected a £3.3 million bid from Lecce for in-form Scottish striker Robbie Ure.

The former Rangers and Anderlecht hitman has helped his club soar nine points clear at the top of the table after only 12 games.

And the first club to make an official bid was Serie A side Lecce.

They narrowly escaped relegation from the top flight of Italian football last season and manager Eusebio Di Francesco wants to rebuild his squad.

They offered Sirius £3.3 million for Ure, which also included a 30 per cent sell-on clause.

However, Ure's club believe they can get at least double that for the 22-year-old, who still has three years left on his deal.

And there are plenty of interested parties for the Scotland Under 21 ace.

Lecce are now reportedly weighing up an improved offer for Ure, ahead of the new season in Italy.
