Serial killer Joanna Dennehy told inmate lover she was a 'fully committed psychopath’

Serial killer Joanna Dennehy promised her prison lover she was her "fully committed psychopath", letters have shown.

Remorseless Dennehy, 39, sent dozens of letters to fellow lag Hayley Palmer, 39, who she had planned to wed.

Street robber Palmer, who has now been released, told The Sun on Sunday that Dennehy laughed and "had no regrets" about killing her three male victims in Peterborough in March 2013.

The convicts met and became lovers while serving sentences at HMP Bronzefield, in Surrey.

In one letter, Dennehy told her: "“To me you will never be anything other than real, the first person to creep under my skin.

"You have a fully committed psychopath.

Palmer said Dennehy showed no remorse for her actions and would laugh about her horrific crimes (PA)

“Together we will travel a path so beautifully dark, so mentally and physically dangerous we will cease to know where I begin and you end.”

The pair tried to take their own lives together in 2018 after Prison bosses planned to split them.

They both survived and Palmer was transferred before her recent release.

The couple have now separated after Dennehy stopped calling from prison two months ago.

In 2013, Dennehy stabbed three men to death and dumped their bodies in ditches around Peterborough. Two other men were also stabbed but survived.

Speaking of her ex's crimes, Palmer added: “She would have carried on if she wasn’t stopped.”

In May last year, Dennehy had high hopes for their marriage after Palmer's release.

After finishing her 16-year sentence, Palmer's friends said she was seeking legal advice on arranging the wedding.

Pals said she had already taken the murderer's name.

They said: “It’s a very strange relationship. It’s very weird to say but they seem good for each other.

“Hayley speaks about Joanna like she’s her high school sweetheart. They talk every single day and fully intend to get married.

"Hayley joked that they would not be allowed to cut their wedding cake because there’s no way that they’d let Joanna have a knife.

“They want to be married by the end of the year. They’re both committed to it.

"Now Hayley’s out of prison, she’s petitioning for permission to get married as soon as they can.”
