A serial bank robber held up a bank Tuesday inside the Chicago Board of Trade building in the Loop.
The man walked into the Burling Bank branch at 141 W. Jackson Blvd. at 1:52 p.m., according to Chicago police and the FBI.
He announced the robbery, demanded cash and ran away with an unspecified amount of money, police said.
A dye pack was included with the pack and burst after the robbery, the FBI said.
The same man is wanted in connection with two bank robberies last week, according to the FBI. The first occurred June 25 at a U.S. Bank branch at 2263 S. Wentworth Ave. in Chinatown, while the second happened the next day at a Citibank branch at 180 N. Michigan Ave. in the Loop.
He is described as 5-foot-3 to 5-foot-6, between 35 and 45 years old and weighing 110 to 120 pounds, the FBI said. He has brown hair and facial hair, a small build and a light complexion with a tattoo on his right bicep.
A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for details that lead to his arrest. Anyone with information can call the FBI’s Chicago Field Office at 312-421-6700.
