Manchester United star Sergio Romero has had a lucky escape after he walked away from a car crash this morning.
The club have confirmed the goalkeeper was involved in a car crash near their Carrington training ground.
The club say the goalkeeper has suffered no injuries.
Images after the incident show Romero's £170,000 Lamborghini smashed up and under the roadside barrier, facing towards trees off the A6144 road, reports The Mirror.
Romero, 32, has acted as United's back-up goalkeeper in the Premier League this season to David de Gea and is yet to feature in the top flight.
But he has played in four of United's Europa League matches, plus three times in the League Cup and in each of their FA Cup third-round clashes against Wolves.
Romero was on the bench for United as they were beaten 2-0 by fierce rivals and runaway Premier League leaders Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday.
He joined the club in the summer of 2015 on a free transfer from Sampdoria, penning a three-year deal at Old Trafford.
Romero played a key role in Manchester United's Europa League triumph in 2017 under Jose Mourinho, keeping his spot as the club's first-choice cup keeper throughout the competition.
He kept a clean sheet in the final against Ajax as United ran out 2-0 winners.
