Sergio Reguilon sends message to Bryan Gil that Tottenham fans will love

Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed the signing of Bryan Gil on a permanent transfer from Sevilla in a player-plus-cash deal.

Erik Lamela, who played over 250 times for Spurs in his eight-year spell in N17, has gone the other way as part of the deal to bring Gil to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The 20-year-old winger has signed a five-year contract in north London as Nuno Espirito Santo seals his second signing as manager of Tottenham following Pierluigi Gollini recently.

Now, Sergio Reguilon, who spent the 2019/20 season on loan at Sevilla from Real Madrid where he played alongside Gil, has sent a message to the latest signing.

On his Instagram story, Spurs defender Reguilon said: "This club is amazing, you will love it (blue love heart emoji)."

Gil, who has represented Spain's national team on a regular basis since making his competitive debut in 2020, becomes just the second Spaniard in Spurs' squad alongside Reguilon.

Lamela, who went the other way to drive the price down for Gil, posted an emotional farewell on social media earlier today.

"Spurs fans... What can I say? It was a very long journey together, maybe more than I thought, but this club has my heart," the Argentine winger said on Monday.

"I feel the shirt the way you fans feel it. Many good memories over the years and I thank my teammates for these years together. I thank the people who work at the club who have always treated me excellently.

"I thank the fans for cheering me on in every game, I will miss you all . I will carry this club with me forever."
