Sergio Aguero starts - Man City fans name starting line-up they want to face Chelsea

Manchester City make the trip to Chelsea this evening looking to get 2021 off to the best possible start.

Pep Guardiola's side have not played since Boxing Day due to Monday's game against Everton being postponed after a Covid-19 outbreak.

It means it is a guessing game over how City will line up later today, with three unknown players set to miss the game due to positive tests.

That is alongside Kyle Walker and Gabriel Jesus, who previously tested positive for the virus on Christmas Eve.

With plenty of speculation over who is available for the game, here is how City fans want to line up.

With Ederson suggesting on Instagram that he was isolating on New Year's Eve, fans have opted to go with Zack Steffen in goal.

The 25-year-old USA international has so far featured in the EFL Cup and Champions League for City but is yet to make his Premier League debut.

In defence, Joao Cancelo retains his place at right-back in the absence of Walker. Ruben Dias and John Stones are retained in the middle of a back four after some impressive performances from the duo so far this season.

Nathan Ake has been named at left-back by City fans ahead of Aleks Zinchenko and Benjamin Mendy, who is being investigated for a breach of Covid-19 rules

In midfield, Bernardo Silva and Kevin De Bruyne start alongside Rodri, who is picked to play in a holding role.

Arguably the biggest call from City fans is the decision to start Sergio Aguero, who is still finding form and fitness after a period of injuries.

The Argentine plays up front, with Riyad Mahrez and Raheem Sterling named on the wings.
