Sergio Aguero's brother criticised Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola on Twitter in the wake of the Champions League final.
The Blues' all-time top goalscorer played his last game in a City shirt on Saturday night, coming off the bench as Guardiola's side frantically attempted to find an equaliser in the Champions League final, but their efforts were in vain.
It was announced on Monday that Aguero had officially joined Barcelona on a free transfer upon the expiration of his contract at the Etihad, although his brother, Mauricio del Castillo, has launched a scathing attack on Guardiola, claiming 'he never wanted' Aguero.
“Guardiola never wanted my brother since his arrival at City," Castillo wrote before deleting the tweet.
When asked why he proceeded to delete the tweet, Castillo responded: "Many toxic people, too many.”
He then replied to a screenshot of the original tweet: “Perfect, I’m glad people have seen it and I’ll write it again if I want.”
Despite Aguero's brother's feelings, on the last day of the Premier League season, Guardiola was overwhelmed with emotion when paying tribute to the 32-year-old. “We love him so much. He’s a special person for all of us. We can’t replace him," Guardiola said.
