Sergio Aguero's agent responds to transfer links with Inter Milan and Real Madrid

Sergio Aguero's agent has rubbished suggestions his client could leave Man City this summer.

The Argentina international has just over a year remaining on his current contract at The Etihad, and rumours continue to link him with a return to his homeland.

Latest speculation though has added Inter Milan and Real Madrid into the mix.

Reports from Italy stated both clubs had made contact with Aguero's agent, Hernan Reguera, over the possibility of signing the striker at the end of the season.

However Reguera has dismissed any idea of Aguero jumping ship before the conclusion of his City contract though admitted the star's future beyond that is still uncertain.

"Sergio has a contract with Manchester City until 2021," Reguera told FCInterNews. "There is no possibility that he will go away sooner.

"We’ll see what happens after that. I haven’t spoken to Inter, and the reason is very simple: Aguero is happy with the Citizens and has no intention of changing club."

Reguera made no mention of Real Madrid, but it's clear from his stance that a move this summer is out of the question.

In addition, Aguero's ties to Atletico Madrid would make it unlikely for him to join his former club's rivals.

A return to Argentina does look increasingly in the pipeline for Aguero though.

The 31-year-old told Goal last May: "I always try [to get back to Argentina]. I know what the fans [of Independiente] want, but I have a contract with City, and I try to focus on these two years I've got left.

"Then I'll see what I'll do but of course, the Rojo [Independiente] is my priority."

Independiente boss Lucas Pusineri - a former teammate of Aguero's - has also talked up a potential return for the prolific marksman.

"Hopefully it will be my turn to be the coach of Kun Aguero," Pusineri told Super Miter Deportivo last month. "I was a team-mate of his and hope that in the future I will get to be his coach.

"Hopefully in my stay at Independiente, I can come to [reunite with] Sergio. We are keeping him the number 10 [shirt]."
