Sergio Aguero has already given his approval of Chelsea transfer ahead of this summer

Chelsea have already given his verdict on Chelsea amid talk of a transfer this summer.

Aguero has confirmed he will leave Manchester City after 10 years this summer when his contract expires, sparking interest from a number of clubs around Europe.

But according to MailOnline, Chelsea lead the race despite talk of a move to Barcelona for Aguero, the report claiming the Argentine wants to stay in the Premier League.

The Blues already have the options up top with Tammy Abraham and Timo Werner, though the latter often plays wide, and there is also Olivier Giroud, but the veteran is out of contract this summer.

Chelsea could fill that void with a Premier League legend in Aguero, who will still be an attractive prospect at 32, despite recent injury troubles.

And what's more, it seems the former Atletico Madrid star might be keen on a move to Chelsea having previously praised the club.

"I look at players like [Didier] Drogba and [Frank] Lampard and they have been – and still are – the best players in their positions in the world," he once said.

"I could really learn from players like that.

"Chelsea are a great club. They have become one of the most feared in Europe over recent years.

"London would be a really amazing city to live in as well – myself and my wife could be really happy there."

Aguero has been available on a free transfer with his contract coming to an end, making it an almost risk-free transfer for Thomas Tuchel and Marina Granovskaia, but they will still have to beat off plenty of competition with plenty of clubs interested across Europe.
