Sergio Aguero given Arsenal transfer advice ahead of Man City departure

Sergio Aguero has been advised that Arsenal would be a good fit should he wish to stay in the Premier League when he leaves Manchester City.

Aguero is set to leave City in the summer when his contract expires and there has been a lot of speculation over what his next move will be.

Former City and Arsenal defender Gael Clichy says that he thinks Aguero will go to a club in Spain.

Yet, speaking to Stadium Astro, Clichy said he would also not be surprised if his former teammate wanted to stay in the Premier League in order to climb higher up the all-time scoring charts.

If that is the case, then Clichy says Arsenal would be a good fit for him thanks to the football they play under former City assistant Mikel Arteta.

He said: "I could see him staying in the Premier League, because he will want to climb to third or second.

"He can get there, for sure. Does he want that? Ten years with Manchester City is enough, I think he will move where he can enjoy it a bit more.

"Can he see himself at another English club? That’s the question. He loves the sun.

"I would like to see him stay in England to get to second or third in goals, but I think he will move away from the Premier League.

"I think Arsenal is a good fit, in terms of style of play. They play nice football and they create opportunities, but I really doubt he would go there.

"I’m pretty sure he will go to Spain."
