Sergio Aguero is said to be feeling 'calm' whilst in hospital as he undergoes further medical tests after suffering with chest pains over the weekend.
The Manchester City legend was taken off in the first half of Barcelona's match with Alaves on Saturday.
The 33-year-old's heart rate was said to be much higher than it should have been and he was taken to hospital.
Aguero will remain under the supervision of medical professionals for at least two more days to undergo cardiology tests, according to Marca.
Barcelona's caretaker coach, Sergi Barjuan, has said that Aguero is "calm" after speaking with him today.
Barjuan said: "I talked to him and he's calm. He's confined to his room but considering the situation he's calm."
Aguero will only return to the training ground when it is safe to do so and the Catalan giants will publish a statement with the results of his heart tests when they are released.
Sport claims initial examinations found arrhythmia, whereby the heart beats with an irregular rhythm.
Aguero was making just his fifth appearance for Barcelona having missed the start of the season with a calf injury, after he left City this past summer.
The Argentine left City as the club's top scorer of all-time, with 260 goals in his 10-year spell.
Former teammate Raheem Sterling sent a message of support to Aguero yesterday.
Without Aguero, Barcelona have made a slow start to the season, with manager Ronald Koeman sacked last week.
It has been rumoured that legendary Barca midfielder, Xavi, could return to the club as manager within the next few days.
