Ferencvaros manager Sergei Rebrov is in line for an astonishing £2.5m bonus if he can ease past Celtic and take the Hungarian stars into the Champions League proper.
The Hoops welcome the men from Budapest to a fan-free Parkhead on Wednesday night as they square off in the second qualifying round of the Champions League.
And former Spurs and West Ham flop striker Rebrov has a serious financial incentive to take Ferencvaros into the Group Stages of the competition for the first time since 1995 after agreeing on a huge windfall if he can lead them there.
Rebrov took a huge pay cut to move to Hungary from Saudi Arabian side Al-Ahli two years ago, but his contract has been heavily boosted by financial incentives, which includes a £2.5 million bonus for Champions League Group Stage participation and £500,000 for the same stage of the Europa League.
Rebrov said: "When I came to Ferencvaros, both myself and the club agreed on the terms.
"The contract we have made is right for me. I am happy with my salary, but it is clear that if we are successful on the European stage, I will do well."
But Ferencvaros chief executive, Pal Orosz, admitted it would be a huge step for Ferencvaros to make it.
He said: "If you look at our financial background and infrastructure, then I believe we are a club who should be playing the Group Stages of the Europa League.
"Obviously, the Champions League Group Stage is our goal, but let's be realistic, it would also take a lot of luck to get there."
