It was a night that will live long in the memory of Serge Gnabry.
The Bayern Munich star scored four goals as his side recorded a stunning 7-2 victory over Tottenham Hotspur in London.
It was quite an occasion for the youngster, but it was made even sweeter when you take his route to stardom into account.
Gnabry left Germany to join Arsenal when he was 16 where he advanced through the age groups before breaking into the professional game.
After a loan spell with West Brom, the youngster moved back to Germany with Werder Bremen before moving on to giants Bayern Munich.
Nights like this are what he'll have dreamed of when coming through the ranks at the Emirates Stadium, and speaking to Sky in Germany after the game, Gnabry had a message for his former club.
He said: "It's difficult to put this into words, winning 7-2.
"None of us would have imagined this.
"To have scored 4 goals is also an amazing feeling. I imagine all the Arsenal fans enjoyed that one!
"Obviously it's a great result for us & we're going to enjoy the evening."
But after the interview, Gnabry took to social media where he posted a series of photos with the message "North London is RED!!!"
While Gnabry's haul was not as good as it would have been if he was in an Arsenal jersey, his response showed that the view 'once a Gunner, always a Gunner' remains true.
