Serge Gnabry can continue to prove Tony Pulis wrong during Champions League final

Ex-Arsenal youngster Serge Gnabry has the chance to continue to prove former manager Tony Pulis wrong again tonight (Sunday).

The now Bayern Munich player had a difficult spell on loan from Arsenal to West Bromwich Albion during the 2015/16 season.

He played just 12 minutes of Premier League football in a Baggies' shirt, before being sent back to the Emirates Stadium six months early.

The winger left the Emirates Stadium the following summer, signing for German side Werder Bremen. His performances in Germany soon earned him a move to Bayern Munich.

It is there he has gone from strength to strength and continues to prove the former West Bromwich Albion boss wrong, and Pulis opened up on his surprise earlier this season.

“You could knock me over with a feather,” he told Sky Sports .

“I’m amazed. We had him at West Brom, we took him on loan and we could never get him fit.

“He even got taken off in an Under-21 game and he went back to Arsenal and they sold him on.

“He was a nice kid, I didn’t mind him at all and he’s really fulfilled his potential.

“To have him at West Brom and seeing him do what he’s done is absolutely amazing.

“When people show what they can really do and knuckle-down and become so good as he’s done it’s absolutely fantastic.”

Gnabry is in action in the Champions League final, as his Bayern Munich side take on Paris Saint-Germain to be crowned the kings of Europe.

The 25-year-old scored twice in the 3-0 semi-final victory over Lyon to earn his team a place in the final, and he will be looking to repeat something similar in the final.
