Has Serge Aurier dropped a Tottenham transfer hint in message to Moussa Sissoko?

Serge Aurier's Tottenham future is up in the air.

The Ivorian is a much-maligned character in north London, with supporters never really warming to him following a string of erratic displays.

He also caused a storm during the coronavirus pandemic, breaking lockdown rules on a number of occasions.

He has, in the main, been Tottenham's first choice right-back this season, following Kieran Tripper's departure to Atletico Madrid and Kyle Walker-Peters' loan move to Southampton.

Walker-Peters' permanent move to Saints means Aurier is likely to be first choice once again next season, but Jose Mourinho is in the market for a new right-back, with Norwich's Max Aarons linked.

Aurier himself has been tipped to leave north London, with AC Milan showing a keen interest in signing him this summer.

Tottenham are holding out for around £20million according to reports.

But the full-back has dropped a hint that he may not be around much longer.

Aurier is close friends with team-mate Moussa Sissoko, who celebrates his birthday today. And in a birthday message on his Instagram page, Aurier appears to have hinted that the two players may not be playing together much longer.

Aurier posted a selection of photos on his Instagram Story of the pair of them together, with the last one having a message written in French.

The message, loosely translated, says that "even if our relationship is degraded lately, let's stay professional".

It is difficult to understand exactly what he is talking about, but it could be a hint about his playing relationship with the French midfielder.
