Serge Aurier and Christian Eriksen are slated as Spurs fans rate the players vs Southampton

Spurs fans have been having their say on the players' performances in the weekend's hard fought victory over Southampton.

Ten man Tottenham took the three points from the game, despite seeing defender Serge Aurier given his marching orders with just half an hour played.

The red card came just seven minutes after midfielder Tanguy Ndombele had given his team the lead, and things were compounded when Southampton striker Danny Ings took advantage of a mistake by Hugo Lloris just five minutes before half time.

However, Spurs would go into the break leading, when Harry Kane finished off a good move.

That is how the score would stay. Kane's winning goal as well as his overall performance means that he was the highest rated player by Spurs fans, receiving a score of 8.1, the striker was closely followed by fellow goalscorer Tanguy Ndombele and defender Toby Alderweireld who were both rated at 7.9.

Perhaps unsurprisingly after his red, Aurier was the lowest scorer by some distance among fans. The 26-year-old being rated with an average score of just 2.4, more than two marks lower than Victor Wanyama, who came on as an injury time substitute.

Christian Eriksen was the lowest rated of the starters, although his mark of 5.4 is more than double that of Aurier's.
