A member of the Serbian Olympic rowing team has tested positive for the novel coronavirus during airport quarantine at Haneda Airport in Tokyo, according to the Cabinet Secretariat.
The team of five members landed at the airport on Saturday evening. They were scheduled to travel to Nanto, Toyama Prefecture, where they were to hold their training camp.
The member who tested positive is recovering at a facility.
The remaining four members are also temporarily being quarantined at a facility designated by the Cabinet Secretariat because of the likelihood they had been in close contact with the infected person.
