Serbian FA chief contracts coronavirus

Serbian Football Association (FSS) president Slavisa Kokeza has contracted the coronavirus, the Balkan nation's soccer governing body said on Saturday.

"Slavisa Kokeza has tested positive for COVID-19, he is under medical supervision and is feeling well," the FSS said on its official website (www.fss.rs).

"We wish him a speedy recovery and we hereby also appeal on all sports clubs and athletes to act responsibly in order to minimise the damage caused by the coronavirus pandemic."

The Serbian soccer league is one of the few in Europe not to have postponed or cancelled matches, although Saturday's fixtures will kick off in empty stadiums after the government declared a crowd ban on Friday.
